KISEN is a lifestyle brand of Yotsukawa Seisakusho, an art copperware manufacturer which has been in business for generations in Kanaya-machi, Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture in Japan, the birthplace of Takaoka copperware. KISEN, our proud house brand, has been handed down for generations with a wish to bring joy and enrich peopleʼs lives. The philosophy of KISEN has continued to evolve to fit the lifestyle of today. By adding flexible ideas to our rich heritage and skills, we make products which offer new value and excitement. We hope your time with KISEN products will be joyful.
Our Story
Yotsukawa Seisakusho is an art copperware manufacturer which has been in business for generations in Kanaya-machi, Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, in Japan, the birthplace of Takaoka Doki(bronze casting). The name of the company at its founding, "Kisen", was derived from the desire to bring joy and happiness in daily life. Today, this desire is still reflected in all of the company's products. Currently, the company offers three brands: "Kisendo," the traditional Takaoka copperware brand offering incense burners and flower vases; "KISEN," the lifestyle brand for tableware and interior decoration; and "KUON," the decorative interior design brand for healing and prayers. Each brand offers products that make full use of craftsmanship and metalworking with a flexible approach, based on a thorough understanding of the characteristics of each craftsman and factory.
Show Room
Our showroom showcases all KISEN and KUON products, as well as most KISENDO products. Visitors can purchase and experience the innovation and tradition of Takaoka copperware at a single visit. The showroom also provides a space for business meetings, where you can consult with us about any business dealings or special orders. We would appreciate it if you could make a reservation in advance for business meetings.
